A Day at The Playgarden

Laura Cruz, Executive Director of The Playgarden by the Sea, will be presenting an overview of their program highlighting 30 wonderful years of PLAY! During this presentation, participants can learn a little about how The Playgarden began, a simple neighborhood playgroup created by parents who wished to offer a home setting inspired by Waldorf principles, and grew into what it is today. Laura Cruz - Executive Director of The Playgarden by the Sea

Laura Cruz is the Executive Director of The Playgarden, building community in Early Childhood Education in Jacksonville Beach. She has been an educator for over 30 years in public and private school settings. She started at The Playgarden as a as a parent, served as the teacher for the Dragonfly 3-6 year mixed age class, and is now celebrating her 9th year at the Executive Director. She has completed her LifeWays Early Childhood Certificate through LifeWays North America in 2016 and the Waldorf Administration Training through The Center for Anthroposophy at Antioch University in 2022.
