Support our work

ANBE provides stellar nature-based training to educators and childcare providers to ensure that all children have safe, healthy, and meaningful opportunities for nature connection to support holistic development and well-being. We also facilitate hands-on programs with children to expand access to the benefits of nature-based education and environmental literacy. But we can't do it alone - we need your support!

Impact of your gift

Your gift helps teachers (and children!) take learning outside. For example:

  • $35 provides a rain suit for a child in a Title 1 school attending our weekly Forest Days program.
  • $75 covers our transportation expense to visit a school or nature program for first hand mentorship, consultation, and training.
  • $125 allows us to offer a scholarship to a deserving teacher who wants to gain the tools and training to create a nature program in their own community.
  • $250 - $500 provides professional membership and training opportunities to nature based educators. We give scholarship aid for our Nature-Based Teacher Certification courses which are worth up to $1000 and include annual membership.
  • $500 covers the design and printing costs of teacher training materials, customized for each program we offer.

And finally, our dream teacher training center with immersive, nature-based programs for the community.

We are activity working with partners to identify a forever home in Long Green Valley, in Baltimore County, MD. Our goal is to establish a nature-based teacher training center with model programs for the community, including a lab preK-12 forest school (see Notchcliff Nature Programs), inclusive nature play spaces, reforested and preserved land, native gardens, Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) plots, programs for elders, nature retreat spaces, nature art studio, and more.  This destination site will welcome teachers, families, and children to experience first hand what robust nature-based education programs can do. If this is a dream you would like to help us make a reality, let’s build a foundation together!

Sponsorships are available for businesses and families who want to support our mission for key programs such as:

  • Night for Nature, our annual fall fundraiser
  • Earth Day Fairy Fest at Notchcliff Nature Programs
  • Outdoor Teacher Retreats (rotate to different cities across the U.S.)
  • Nature Teacher Camp, a multi-day training event (rotates)
  • Nature-Based Teacher Certification, our signature 36-clock hour training that prepares teachers for meaningful nature-based education
