WEBINAR DESCRIPTION

What does it take to build an outdoor daycare program from the ground up? Learn how developing a quality, Nature-based child care program creates a love of the outdoors in the youngest of children!

In this webinar you will learn the basics of what to consider when creating a Nature-based program for infants - 5 year olds. Things such as licensing considerations, mixed age group differentiation, setting, and daily-schedule (meals, naps, outdoor-pottying, diaper changes etc.) will be addressed as well as some practical ideas for activities.

Children are never too young to get outdoors. Come and learn how to make it possible!

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

This webinar is designed for early-childhood educators and daycare providers interested in starting their own nature-based child care program and/or adapting their current program to incorporate more outdoor time and nature-based practices. Parents who are looking for information on how to incorporate more nature-based rhythms for the day-to-day with their own young children will also benefit from this webinar.

MEET YOUR FACILITATOR

Anne is a mother of two adult sons and owner and founder of Berardi Family Farm Childcare in Georgetown MA. She has been providing licensed childcare in her home for over thirty-one years. She began providing childcare to be home with her kids when they were young. Anne has always enjoyed being outdoors with her daycare, growing gardens and raising chickens, using Nature as their guide, but the pandemic pushed their day-to-day primarily outdoors. She researched and adapted her space so that eating and napping outdoors could be possible even with the youngest of children. Children under her care range from 3 months to 5 years.
