WEBINAR DESCRIPTION

Participants will explore Conscious Discipline® components and how the approach, based on brain research, meets developmental needs of both adults and children and supports and aligns with Nature and Forest School practices and values. Through examples in photos, video and anecdotes, participants will learn about Conscious Discipline implementation in Miami Nature Playschool in Florida. Brief role-play and fill-in-the-blank activities will provide opportunities to learn and take away new, helpful responses to challenging behaviors. Resources for further training and follow-up will be shared.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

This webinar is designed for anyone who facilitates nature-based education and outdoor learning, which may include: teachers and administrators in school and childcare settings; naturalists, environmental educators, outdoor educators; wilderness survival enthusiasts; parents/grandparents/aunts/uncles.

MEET YOUR FACILITATOR


Katja von Elbe, MSEd is a mother and grandmother, former pre-school teacher, currently a teacher trainer, parent educator and Certified Nature-Based Educator by Erafans, now ANBE. Katja has benefited from intensive training and mentoring in Conscious Discipline® for over twenty-five years, sharing what she has learned in customized workshops. She is a Certified Conscious Discipline Instructor and Conscious Discipline Mentor in a fully outdoor, play-based program, Miami Nature Playschool in Florida.
