This session will share techniques and ideas for connecting children’s consciousness of healthful eating to nature’s harvest via play! We’ll consider food exploration with ingredients as loose parts, as well as, incorporating foraging to outdoor kitchen experiences.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Alicia Garcia is a private chef, urban gardener, educator, and eclectic homeschooler. Through her company Project Flourish, she offers classes and community gatherings with an emphasis on nature, wellness, & sustainability in a variety of creative greenspaces. She is certified for Plant-based Nutrition, as well as Nature-Based Education.
